Synopsis[]
Courier joins up with Swindler as they attempt to track Brother down. Meanwhile, Cutthroat is seeing red and is thirstier than ever for blood.

- The title of the episode, THE SHINING, along with its themes, are a reference to its namesake, The Shining (1980) directed by Stanley Kubrick, itself an adaptation of The Shining (1977), horror novel written by Stephen King.
- In the episode, the Cutthroat chases after the Swindler in a similar manner to The Shining main character Jack, who in a scene shared among the novel and movie chases after his wife in the Overlook Hotel. The Swindler eventually hides behind a door, which the Cutthroat breaks open in a way that directly references a famous scene from the movie.
- In both The Shining (novel as well as the movie) and this episode, the main female character has to arrange for her attacker to die in order to escape from him.
